What happens

Every ride is private and starts at Roots Riding Stables, Cas en Bas. About 2½ hours.

  1. Meet the herd at Roots Riding Stables, Cas en Bas, and get matched to your horse.
  2. Ride through countryside trails and natural mangroves to the Atlantic coast.
  3. Ride the length of Cas en Bas beach.
  4. Stop for photos at a scenic spot, with refreshments on the beach.
  5. Swim with your horse, weather and sea permitting.
  6. Ride back to the stables.

Do I need to be able to swim?

Tell us when you book. We’ll talk it through with you, and the swim only goes ahead when the weather and sea allow.

Is it suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. This is our flagship ride and it suits beginners. We match every rider to a horse by experience, confidence and size.

What should I wear?

Long trousers or leggings, closed shoes and swimwear underneath. Bring sun cream. We provide helmets.
