The cookie banner
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you’re happy for us to use analytics cookies. Nothing that tracks you is set unless you agree. You can change your mind at any time using the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Google Analytics
If you agree, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site: which pages they visit, roughly where they’re from, and whether they click to book or message us. It doesn’t tell us who you are. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy. If you don’t agree, Google Analytics runs in a restricted mode that doesn’t set cookies. We also use Jetpack to count page views without identifying individuals.
The contact form
If you send us a message, we receive your name, email and whatever you write, by email. We use it only to reply to you and don’t add you to any mailing list. We delete old enquiries we no longer need.
WhatsApp buttons open WhatsApp with a message already written for you. Nothing is sent until you press send. Messages are handled by WhatsApp (Meta) under their privacy policy, and we keep them only as long as we need to help with your booking.
Booking and payment
Bookings and payments are handled by BookSpot, our booking system. When you book, BookSpot collects the details it needs to confirm your ride and take payment, under its own privacy policy. We receive your booking details so we can run your ride and match you to the right horse.
Maps
Our contact page shows a Google map. Google may set its own cookies when the map loads.
Your choices
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing rootsridingstables@gmail.com.
